“The Computer Vision and Learning Group at the University of Massachusetts Lowell is offering a 1 year postdoctoral position in the area of activity recognition. Particular topics of interest include generation of natural language descriptions of activities in a broad range of video data, object and action recognition and segmentation, with emphasis on deep neural network techniques. More details on the project can be found here. Experience with convolutional neural network software such as Caffe is preferred but not required.
The research will be conducted in close collaboration with Prof. Saenko and her group at UMass Lowell, and in remote collaboration with Prof. Darrell's group at UC Berkeley. The position is available immediately for a period of one year, and is funded by the Air Force Research Lab. Applicants should hold a PhD in either electrical engineering or computer science and are expected to have a strong background in machine learning, computer vision, or closely related fields. Remuneration is competitive and commensurate with skills and track record. To apply, please send your CV along with a short statement of research interests to saenko@cs.uml.edu”
